Indeed :(. My favorites are Tactics Ogre, both "Let us Cling Together" and "The knight of Lodis". But I also have played the Nipon Ichi ones :P

Hell yeah, lol.

They just don't seem to make tactical RPGs like the used to anymore... :'(

Indeed :(. My favorites are Tactics Ogre, both "Let us Cling Together" and "The knight of Lodis". But I also have played the Nipon Ichi ones :P

NIS games were nice as well.
I haven't tried Tactics Ogre nor Let Us Cling Together.

I've played the Disgaea series, though.
And they're a pretty fun tactical RPG with a whimsical storyline, lol.

Hahaha!! Yeah those dialogs are totally hilarious!!

Both tactics ogre are nice to play, "Let us cling together" has a version on PSP and "The knight of Lodis" is available on the GBA. If you can have them you'll get a pretty good time playing those games

Well, my PSP is busted and my mom accidently threw my 4 GBAs away. xD
The GBAs were in a box with other things in there, and my mom was like, "More junk, Jun?" *Proceeds to throw them away*

I've been playing Fire Emblem Awakening.  I understand these games are supposed to be hard - hence the permadeath - but I am really glad they made a casual mode for this one.  I don't think I'd play without it because my OCD is like "Kill all the enemies + get all the sparklies" and if I tried to do that without having any of my characters die, wow.  I don't know that I'd ever be able to finish the game, because I would lose patience with those "I've been playing too long and I accidentally forgot to move my character to this spot and I died" moments.

I would love to play some other grid and turn based tactical rpgs... but permadeath is pretty much a game killer for me, because I just lose patience/interest too fast.

I played Bahamut Lagoon (fan translation) years ago, and I think that game would be ideal for a remake on Nintendo 3DS... I'd buy it and play it to death.
